Spinner Shark
Habitat: inshore (less than 100 feet), deeper waters (max: 250 feet)
Location: tropical Atlantic, Mediterranean, and Indo-west Pacific
Size: range between 5-7 feet
Description: They have long slender bodies which helps them when jumping from the water to catch prey. These sharks live in large groups, and they are migrate during the summer. Often the older sharks have dark black markings on their fins.
Diet: bony fish, small sharks, squid, octopus, and stingrays
Feeding Habits: swim quickly through a school of fish while spinning their bodies, often leap from the water
Lifespan: around 15-20 years
Offspring: 3-15 pups per litter every other year
