Zebra Shark
Habitat: coral reefs, lagoons, rock beds, and channels
Location: Indo-west Pacific
Size: range between 6.5-11.5 feet long
Description: Zebra sharks were given this name because when younger that display dark strips. These animals live alone, and spend a majority of the day resting on the bottom.
Diet: mollusks, crustaceans, sea snakes, and bony fish
Feeding Habits: strong swimmers, nocturnal
Offspring: 2-7 eggs per litter
Lifespan: 25-33 years
Status: Vulnerable
Threatened by: habitat destruction and fishing
