Silky Shark
Habitat: deep-water reefs, open sea, and occasionally inshore
Location: tropical seas
Size: range between 6-9 feet long
Description: Silky sharks are long slim sharks that are known to be swift and bold with their movements. They have smooth skin and relatively large eyes. These sharks either live alone or in large groups.
Diet: bony fish, octopus, crabs, and squid
Feeding Habits: strong hearing, and hunt in groups
Lifespan: 23 years
Offspring: 2-14 pups per litter every other year
Status: Least Concern
